Two American Electric Power subsidiaries have signed long-term power purchase agreements with Fowler Ridge Wind Farm LLC, an indirect subsidiary of BP Alternative Energy North America Inc., for a total of 200 megawatts (MW) of renewable wind energy. |

REpower to Supply 160 MW of Turbines to EPURON |

REpower Systems AG and EPURON GmbH have signed a joint framework agreement for the delivery of 80 wind turbines for international projects. It mainly involves the REpower MM82 and MM92 turbines. The wind farm projects are to be implemented presumably until the end of 2009 in Germany, Italy, France and Australia. |

The North Carolina Senate [last week] voted 47-1 for final passage of Senate Bill 3, which includes a renewable electricity standard (RES) of 12.5% by 2021 with up to 40% of the standard being met through efficiency. The legislation next goes to the desk of Governor Mike Easley (D) for his signature. |
